Fourteen wheelchairs were handed over to elderly residents of Hlalanikahle, eMalahleni
Smoother rides for the elderly after Glencore donated wheelchairs.
Glencore, a mining company continued doing righteous deeds for the people of eMalahleni on Thursday, May 12, in collaboration with the Non-Profit Organisation Siyaphambili Community Forum and the Emalahleni Local Municipality.
The elderly were being shown support and love at the Hlalanikahle Community Hall in Kwa-Guqa, where 14 wheelchairs were donated.
Tshego Mashego communication specialist at Glencore said that they are proud to partner with such organizations that help to better their communities and their aim is to always progress alongside the community in which they are operating.
It was a happy day when the elderly received the wheelchairs with smiles on their faces and a shoutout to the Siyaphambili, who have eternal love in their hearts for elderly people, as they went to ask for these donations and continue to make other people’s lives better in their community.
Classie Maseko the chairperson of Siyaphambili said that they would like to thank Glencore for their good work in collaboration with the municipality, and that they would like to help more people from Hlalanikahle in the future.
Trudy Xhala Mavimbele from the Municipal Transversal Unit thanked Glencore for helping the elderly in Hlalanikahle.
