Walking to work can be very dangerous in eMalahleni

Woman approached by two men then apparently gets robbed.

Walking is dangerous in eMalahleni, even in broad daylight.

That is the hard reality that struck a woman on her way to work recently.

The victim told WITBANK NEWS she was on her way to work on May 23 when she was approached by two men.

“I was walking in Haarlem Street,” she said.

She said one of the men pretended as if he knew her and walked along next to her.

He apparently showed her his firearm and told her to hand over her cellphone.

This incident happened just after 14:00.
