Francois-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) lending a helping hand to disability centres in KwaGuqa
Disability centres get cared for during World Orphans Day.
Ensuring that the young and vulnerable people of the community are cared for is one of the key aspects that Francois-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) focuses on.
The organisation opened up their hands and embraced Sinqobile Disability Centre and Malehlohonolo Disability Centre Kwa-Guqa on Monday, May 30.
The two disability centres received donations that included food parcels and toiletries from FXB as a part of celebrating World Orphans Day. FXB gathered their children that are a part of the association to help with the hand-over of the donations.
Sinqobile Disability Centre is an organisation that helps the elderly and disabled people in Vosman. The organisations help their members learn and do handwork such as gardening and sewing.
The centre manager, Ms Hilda Simelane said that the donation will help the non-profit organisation as funds are sometimes scares.
“We sometimes don’t have enough funds to do things that we wish to do with our elderly, and we depend on one income,” Simelane added.
FXB has created a global solidarity network to protect the world’s most vulnerable children. The association holds a World Aids Orphans Day every year in May, to highlight the needs and rights of children.
The World Aids Orphans Day helps to focus the public’s attention on children who have lost their parents to Aids.
“Donating to the vulnerable is what the organisation aims to do. We have tried to help where we can and hope that it will last both of the centres. We also tried to bring awareness about World Orphans Day to the centres,” said Ms Mamsy Nkosi, a representative from Association Francois-Xavier Bagnoud.
