Clewer receives a new transformer

Installation will commence shortly according to a community member

Clewer residents are feeling a little bit more hopeful after a new transformer has been delivered to the substation on July 21.

The community have made arrangements to patrol and secure the surrounding area during night time to deter thieves from stealing the equipment.

On the left is the new transformer and on the right is the old one.

On July 22, according to one community member, the municipality and Eskom arrived on scene with the ward 9 counsellor and installation will commence shortly.
