Old Middelburg road claims three more lives

The R555 is claiming one life after the other.

Three more lives were lost in an accident last night.

 

There is still no indication of what caused the accident on July 28.

 

Emergency lights lit the very dark road as emergency personnel and fire and rescue tended to victims of the accident.  

 

The R555 is notorious for accidents and last night’s happened just a few meters away from where the well-known public prosecutor, Mr Alf Grobler lost his life on Saturday, July 23.

 

Ms Sumari Venter commented on the video WITBANK NEWS posted from the accident scene last night and said speed humps should be put on the road to slow cars down. 

 

Mr Juan Fouche said he wished they would close the R555.
