eMalahleni shutdown – group is on their way to Eskom Park

And they are on their way.

Armed with a memorandum, the Congress of South Africa Trade Unions (Cosatu) and South African Federations of Trade Unions (Saftu) are on their way to Eskom Park.

Among others, they are asking the powers on top to address the crippling financial state the country is in.

With this national shutdown, Cosatu is showing concern about the rising cost of living, fuel, and electricity.

The shutdown in the eMalahleni area began early this morning, Wednesday, August 24.

So far, the march is peaceful as they make their way to Eskom Park to hand over the memorandum of demands.
