SANCO celebrates Heritage Day through sport

SANCO celebrated Heritage Day with those who mean the most to them.

Heritage Day is a day dedicated to celebrating and embracing our country’s various cultures.

The South African National Civic Organisation (SANCO) marked the occasion by bringing youth to sporting events.

SANCO is in charge of community programs, the vast majority of which involve children.

On Saturday, September 24, they hosted netball and a football tournament at Extension 10 Mshaya Azafe Sports Ground.

Together with all the teams from the eMalahleni, the boys competed in a top-six soccer tournament, while the girls competed in a top-four netball tournament.

People turned out in large numbers to show their support.
