Planned power outage on October 16
Residents of areas under the Doornpoort Substation must get their candles ready for the planned power outage on October 16.
The spokesperson for Emalahleni Local Municipality, Mr Lebo Mofokeng, has indicated that there will be a planned power outage at Doornpoort Substation on Sunday, October 16, from 08:00 until 20:00.
He said the Electrical Department will perform maintenance on the 22kV isolators incomer VT units.
The following areas will be affected:
- Del Judor extensions
- Highveld Mall
- The Ridge Casino
- Witbank Dam
- Bankenveld
- Ben Fleur extensions
- Reyno Ridge Extensions
- Tasbet Park Ext 12
- Witbank Extension 16
- Model Park
- Witbank Extensions 5 & 10
- Extensions 8,16 & 41
- Klipfontein
- Highveld Park
- Blancheville
- Clearwater Estate
- Seekoeiwater Plots.
“The areas affected were identified at the time of publishing but can change due to ring feeds on the network,” Mr Mofokeng said.
“The network must be treated as live during this period,” he said in closing.
