Transnet employees in eMalahleni have joined the nationwide strike
Transnet workers want a raise in pay.

Workers, in collaboration with the South African Transport and Allied Workers Union (SATAWU) and the United National Transport Union (UNTU), took to the streets to express their dissatisfaction.
On Monday, October 10, the Transnet strike in eMalahleni was in full swing near the Transnet offices to protest for wage increases.

Botha Street is closed due to the strike, therefore motorists are advised to take an alternative route.
