Dantie Prinsloo encourages ladies from eMalahleni to join her art classes.

Here they will be taught how to draw and paint while enjoying different refreshments of their desire like a wonderfully made

from Cindy’s Shabby Chic where the classes take place.

Dantie took it upon herself to teach close associates of hers how to draw and paint with water, acrylic, and oil paint.

She encouraged more women to join the art group as some members have been part of the class for over five years while some are still new.

“I realised my art class is not so much about art, but also about the escape you give people. You can change people’s lives just by giving them your time and something fun to do. I help people who have never drawn anything to become skilled artists who can paint and draw anything.” Dantie rejoiced.

Madga Elof mentioned that although she joined the class by mistake when she was waiting for her friend, she admits to enjoying and embracing the art classes to the fullest,

“The art class takes away all your stress for those three hours that you are there. You don’t think of anything else except your drawing in front of you, I didn’t even know that I could draw.”

Most of the ladies said they paint for leisure or decorative purposes, but one lady, in particular,

Bettie du Toit who named her marvelous art ‘In the wild’ confessed that she wanted to send the art painting of red roses to her daughter in Canada.

The art class is held once a month for two days. The next class is on November 16 and 17. Dantie’s art class is held at Cindy’s Shabby Chic.
