Missing boy’s body found close to where dad allegedly committed suicide

Bokkie's body was found by police.

The body of the five-year-old Shaydino Padda (known as Bokkie) was found by police in an open field near Van De Venter Street in the Central Business District.

This sad news came as police and community members started searching for the boy a day ago when his father did not return him to his mom after a visit.

“A pathological post-mortem will be conducted to confirm the cause of death,” said police spokesperson Captain Eddie Hall.

Family of the deceased boy identified him on the scene.

The recovery of the boy’s body follows after his father’s body was found a few blocks away at the hockey field of a local high school earlier this week.

Hall confirmed that no foul play is suspected in the death of the father.
