Sanco march has started near King George Park in the CBD

The group plan to march to Eskom Park to deliver a memorandum of demands.

The South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) called for a march.

People started to gather this morning Friday, at King George Park in the Central Business District.

The march is intended to address, among other things, the phase-out of load shedding and extensive community consultations on energy transition.

So far, the gathering has been peaceful. The group plan to march to Eskom Park to deliver a memorandum of demands.
