Niralya Padayachy brightens the day for road users with her winning family portrait

Niralya Padayachy (8) recently smiled as brightly as the colours on the family portrait she drew and entered for a family portrait competition.
If you want to see the reason for their smiles, look no further than delivery trucks, which may display her winning masterpiece to brighten your day on the road.
The competition opened for entries on May 29, and the young artist and future fashion designer decided to take to the paper with her colouring tools on June 20.
Although she doubted herself after completing the portrait, the doubt did not stop her from entering the competition and reaping the fruits of her artistic labour when she heard she claimed a winning spot on August 29.
Her family is proud of her and said: “She is a very creative child and enjoys arts and crafts. She was a little scared to enter, and we are very happy that she did.”
