Middelburg Toll Plaza visited by the provincial commissioner during Festive Safety operations
Police operations have been visible throughout the province.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS) Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, has visited various locations in the province for the Safer Festive Season operations launched at the beginning of December.
The campaign aims to ensure more police members are deployed in Mpumalanga, and visible to ensure the safety of the communities and residents.

She visited the ongoing operations for inspection of the police members. On December 29 the Commissioner visited various locations including Middelburg Toll Plaza, Leander Toll Plaza, Lebombo, Oshoek Port of Entries, Dwarsloop, and Lochiel police operations.
By visiting these operations, the General wishes to restore trust and hope toward community members and acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the SAPS members to ensure safer communities.
“The presence of more members and more operations conducted will surely reflect a positive picture in the reduction of crime in the province,” said Manamela.
These operations are not just for the festive season, according to Manamela, but a build-up to the safety in Mpumalanga in the years to come.
