‘Scare tactics do not work’, March and March organisers say
March on March organisers are pleading with the public not to buy any food from spaza shops run by foreign nationals.
The March and March eMalahleni movement has opened cases at the Vosman SAPS following alleged targeted shooting incidents at two homes of its members.

The deputy chairperson of the March and March movement in eMalahleni, Abraham Lukhele, said seven shots were fired into one house and several shots into a second house last night.

The chairperson of the movement in eMalahleni, Robbie Williams, said this just made them more determined to go ahead with their marches on Thursdays.
“We are rattling cages and that tells us we are on the right track. We will not stop until a way forward can be agreed upon,” Williams said.
The group maintains that it will continue mobilising until formal agreements are established with foreign business owners.

Lieutenant Colonel Vusi Mnisi of the Vosman SAPS is currently in Mbombela and said he will follow up and give all the details through as soon as he receives them.
