The body of a deceased male has been discovered by residents recently.

Residents of Empumelelweni were rocked when gunshots were heard blazing in the evening hours of January 25.

On the morning of January 26, ward councillors and residents were notified of a diseased male next to the soccer field in Extension 7, Empumelelweni.

On arrival, the police found a diseased male with a bullet wound to his chest. The motive behind the killing is still unknown, and the police are yet to determine the man’s identity.

The station commander of the Vosman Police, Brigadier Lindani Ndlovu is appealing to anyone with information regarding this matter to please come forward. Investigations are currently underway.
