Die Heuwel resident robbed at gunpoint

The house robbery took place on Rotterdam Street.

Extension 1 community members are urged to be on high alert following an alleged house robbery that took place in the area, namely Rotterdam Street.

The victim was at his home on Wednesday, March 1 at around 16:00 when he heard his door opening.

The victim alleges he was in his bathroom when the perpetrators broke in. When he came back into the dining area, he allegedly saw two unknown male suspects and one of them supposedly pointed a firearm at him whilst instructing him to keep quiet.

According to the police report, the other suspect proceeded to hold the victim’s hands whilst the other was busy packing the victim’s valuables.

The suspects allegedly helped themselves to a laptop, speakers, jewellery and the victim’s clothes before fleeing the scene.
