Reyno Ridge resident foils second solar panel theft in two days

Criminals are targeting solar-panelled homes in Reyno Ridge.

Residents of Reyno Ridge are on high alert after yet another attempted theft of solar panels was thwarted last week.

This incident occurs just one day after a suspect was caught stealing solar panels on the same street.

The incident that occurred on Gemini Street on Thursday, July 6, has raised worries about the growing trend of solar panel thefts in the neighborhood.

Observant neighbors detected strange behaviour near their neighbor’s home in this latest incident.

They spotted a man in a work suit scaling the wall, and then they noticed him on the rooftop, busy removing the solar panel, while they began shouting for help.

The homeowner was present at the time of the incident and did not observe anything until she was notified by the neighbors, who started chasing the suspect but were unsuccessful in apprehending him.

However, upon fleeing, the suspect left his backpack and the solar panel behind.
