Striking it lucky with another award

We are ‘pen warriors in Africa’ says award-winning writer.

Gender-based violence activist, motivational speaker, influencer, and author Strike Mnguni can add another accolade to his growing collection.

Strike was honoured yet again in the AfriCAN Honoree Authors Awards sixth edition 2023 with his fourth book ‘Living Positive with Amo’.

The award ceremony took place in Johannesburg on July 31.

This is the second consecutive year Strike was honoured among 717 fellow AfriCAN Authors and 27 countries on the continent since the awards started in 2018.

“I want to thank my Creator for this milestone. Thank you to all my family, friends, and strangers who have supported me over the years through my writing journey.”

‘Living positive with Amo’ was awarded in the self-empowerment category.

Strike said, “Africa will never be the same because there are many groups of modern men that are now speaking out and speaking up about the psychological, spiritual, emotional, spiritual, and financial abuse that they endure in silence in their marriage, relationship, community, and society at large. ‘Living Positive with Amo’ is currently the best fiction novel to read that addresses and breaks the stigma of men’s abuse and also prays for the restoration of men’s righteous position in their marriage, relationship, community, and society at large.”

Last year Strike’s books, ‘Life – A Sea of Glees and Woes’, ‘Victim to Victor’ and ‘Home Sweet Home’ were nominated and honoured.
