Two vehicles were stolen on the same day in eMalahleni as the festive season gets in full swing.

Police Captain Eddie Hall advised motorists to be aware of their surroundings and to avoid hijacking hotspots.

As the shopping festive season is in full swing, criminals in eMalahleni are also shopping for your valuables.

This comes after two vehicles were reported stolen in two consecutive days in eMalahleni.

According to Witbank Police, a man parked his grey Honda Ballade at his place of residence on Rhodes Street with the doors and windows closed.

The following day on Saturday, November 25 at around 10:00, the victim woke up to the shock of his life when he realised that his car had been stolen.

A similar incident was reported on the same day.

Only an hour after the first carjacking was reported, another car was stolen in Del Judor.

It is believed that the female victim had parked her car at a local church in the said area on Saturday, November 25. When she came back, she discovered that her silver Toyota Yaris had been stolen.
