United beat 3D in the last match of the Masters League

United Masters overcame 3D Masters' resilience with a late goal, securing a thrilling 2-1 win in a nail-biting finish.

Both United Masters and 3D Masters played a very entertaining soccer game when they faced each other on the last day of the Witbank KwaGuqa Masters League.

There are six teams affiliated in the Masters League and it was formed this year.

Several clubs have come together to form a league.

From the start, 3D was on the attack, and they scored their first goal which was ruled not to be a goal.

After that, United attacked from all angles, proving to be very difficult for 3D, who were playing with only nine players instead of 11.

Be as it was, the teams offered the best form of entertainment.

3D was the first to open the scoresheet to make it 1-0. United reorganised themselves and equalised after a good build-up to make it 1-1.

Towards the end of the first half, both teams were looking for the second goal but the game broke for half-time at 1-1.

In the second half, United were the better team as they attacked from all angles but found it difficult to penetrate the 3D defence.

Towards the end of the match, both teams had a fair chance to score a goal, but it was only United in the dying minutes of the match who scored to make it 2-1; United won the match 2-1.

Maredi Masters FC were declared the champions of the KwaGuqa Masters League after all the teams completed their 20 league matches.

The champions after 20 games won 15 games, drew one and lost four accumulating 46 points, in second position were United Masters FC winning 14 matches, drawing three and losing three as well with 45 points, in third position was Phathudi Masters FC winning 11 games, drawing one and losing eight with 34 points.

Fourth is 3D Masters FC with seven wins, four draws, and eight losses with 25 points, fifth is Dangerous Darkies Masters with five wins, four draws and 11 losses and the last position on the log was Vithiza with one win, one draw and 18 losses and with only four points.

The executive committee of the Witbank KwaGuqa Masters League are: Phillip Phatudi Rapakgadi (president), Thokozani Dladla (deputy president), Vusi Hlatshwayo (general secretary), Trevor Silabela (treasure), Nkosinathi Shezi (pro), Arthur Xaba (team’s rep) and Siphamandla Simelane (team’s rep).
