Spreading Christmas cheer a kilometre at a time

Coaldust Running Club ran the extra mile for the SPCA.

“Merry Christmas to all the animals,” was the message on the Christmas card from Coaldust Running Club.

The running club collected dog- and cat food and delivered it to the local SPCA just before Christmas.

“We challenge all other sports clubs in eMalahleni to collect in aid of the SPCA,” Abie Smit from Coaldust said.

On social media, the SPCA left the following message, “We want to take a moment to let you know just how much we appreciate the support and love from each one of you, no matter what you did to help us this year, thank you, because without you we won’t be able to continue to do what we do. Thank you for supporting our fundraising events, donations big and small, volunteering or visiting us, and of course for all the adoptions this year.”

The SPCA has many animals up for adoption. Follow them on Facebook and keep up to date with what is happening at the animal shelter.

The SPCA can be contacted at 013 650 2321.
