Laerskool Kragbron women pray for Christians in Palestine
The World Day of Prayer was this year prepared by an ecumenical group of Palestinian women.
Laerskool Kragbron recently held one of the school’s longstanding traditions, World Prayer Day for Women.
Female teachers, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and aunts honoured the invite and gathered at the school to show support.
Teachers at the school took turns and each shared their heartfelt prayers.

Every year, the worldwide event is initiated by a variety of cooperative activities in support of women’s involvement in missions at home and in other parts of the world.
The theme for this year’s prayer was from the book of Ephesians 4:1-3, “I beg you. Bear with one another with love. Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

On Friday, March 1 young girls sang, prayed, and shed tears after a well known mom in the community, Ms Retha van Greunen passed on due to cancer.
According to the World Council of Churches, the prayer was prepared for this year by an ecumenical group of Palestinian women in response to the theme, “I beg you…bear with one another in love.”
