Vosman Police investigate murder

A 44-year-old woman was shot and killed at the Matthews Maphosa Intersection on Tuesday, March 19.

A 44-year-old woman was shot and killed at the Matthews Maphosa Intersection in Lynnville.
According to a police report, the woman was driving an Isuzu Double Cab Bakkie when she was fatally shot on Tuesday, March 19.
It is alleged that she was assassinated.

Vosman Police Station Commander Brigadier Lindani Ndlovu said that as nothing was stolen from the deceased her death was premeditated and undoubtedly the use of hit men, “We condemn the merciless deadly attacks by hit men as it has become a norm lately, people are intolerant against each other to a point where precious lives are lost instead of settling disputes amicably,” Ndlovu said.

He said that the woman was identified through the help of her husband.

“Anyone willing to volunteer tangible information that can assist the police to trace and apprehend the killers is requested to contact Lieutenant Colonel Muntu Mbatha at 0826008537,” Ndlovu ended.
