Cash and drugs seized by Witbank Police

Witbank Police Brigadier Moses Bolton commended the members for their unwavering efforts in combating and preventing drug dealings in eMalahleni.

Witbank Police discovered a massive drug and money haul inside a woman’s home in Old Coronation.

 

According to Witbank Police spokesperson, Captain Eddie Hall, the drug bust was warranted by police members who were patrolling the area, “The members were conducting a stop and search in the area and received information that there was a large amount of drugs in one of the shacks,” Hall outlined.

 

It is said that on Wednesday, March 27 the police followed the lead that led them to the home of a 26-year-old woman at 11:00.

 

Upon arrival, a search was conducted and a black backpack with suspected drugs was discovered by the police.

 

Hall said that an undisclosed amount of money, and what is believed to be dagga, and heroin wrapped in yellow plastics to the value of R250 000 were also recovered, “The suspect was arrested for the possession of the suspected drugs and appeared in court on Tuesday, April 2.”
