Police finds motorbike in shack

Motorcycle discovery brings investigation closer to resolution.

In a successful operation, the Middelburg Flying Squad, in collaboration with a tracking company, recovered a stolen motorcycle from a shack in a local settlement.

On Friday, May 17, law enforcement authorities quickly identified the motorcycle at approximately 06:30, based on intelligence that led the squad to the Old Coronation informal settlement.

Upon a search of the area, the motorcycle was located and locked inside the shack. The motorcycle was stolen from a residential property at approximately 04:00.

“No arrests have been made as of yet, and the investigation is on-going,” said Colonel Donald Mdhluli.

The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has commented and said, “I thank the team for their relentless efforts as they strive to ensure that members of the public continue to trust them, even for the safety of their properties.”

The swift and efficient recovery of the motorcycle is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the police and the tracker teams.

The operation also serves as a warning to criminals that law enforcement is always on the lookout, and that no hiding place is safe from the law.
