They were eager to learn about being a policeman and what happens when grown-ups make bad choices.

Captain Eddie Hall and Sergeant David Ratau were their superheroes for the day on Wednesday, August 21.

Showing them cool police tools like handcuffs and teaching them the important phone number to call in case of an emergency, the little explorers were amazed by the police station and got a glimpse of the prison holding cells, which made them promise to always be good.

With their curious minds buzzing, they asked plenty of questions and had a blast learning about the police and, of course, no day is complete without a yummy treat.

They were thrilled to head to McDonald’s afterward to fill their tummies.

It was a heart-warming day seeing the police officers connect with the little ones, showing them that they’re friends who keep us safe, not scary figures.

The Grade R learners left with big smiles, new knowledge, and a special memory to cherish.
