Fight cancer with hope – one step at a time

All together 300 walkers and runners joined in the Cansa awareness campaign 4.9km fun walk.

October is all about cancer awareness.

Everything was draped in pink, logos turned pink and the topic lead to some serious conversations about cancer.

Dottie Nkosi, Angel Nkosi, Loveness Manzungu, Shammah Manzungu, Casey Manzungu and Elsa de Bruyn.

Solidariteit Helpende Hand, the Bettie Bandana Foundation and Ben Fleur Boulevard took it a step further and hosted a Pink Walk in honour of Retha van Greunen, the founder of Bettie Bandana – who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Abangile Mncwane, Daniella Strange, Michaela Pearson, Londeka Mngomculu, Belicia Sikwelane, Neo dos Santos, John Dube, Masesese Molekwa and Luan Espach.

On Saturday, October 26 an excited group of 300 walkers and runners came together in solidarity to raise awareness about cancer during a 4.9km fun walk.

Ashley Marengo (13) was the first to cross the finish line.

“We are having so much fun,” was the feedback received from the energetic walkers and runners alongside the road.
