Fashion week debuts with dazzling garments

Mpumalanga Fashion Week is a platform that Mmabatho recently developed to provide models and designers a chance to show off and share their stunning creations with the globe.

Mmabatho Mashigo, known for her tireless efforts to keep children off the streets, has done it again.

This time, she has launched Mpumalanga Fashion Week, a platform that provides a showcase for both designers and models to strut their stuff and share their beautiful work with the world.

The inaugural event took place on Saturday, December 7, at the New Life Church and was a resounding success.

According to Mmabatho, “It’s a new baby that’s born… a show that helps both designers and models showcase their beautiful work.” The event is set to become an annual fixture on the province’s fashion calendar.

This innovative initiative aims to provide opportunities for local models and designers to gain experience and exposure without having to travel far.

Added Mmabatho, “These are to grow opportunities for our models, which they don’t have to travel far to experience, and to show them that their dreams are valid. I want them to know that they don’t have to go to Johannesburg or other big cities to pursue their modeling careers. We can create our own opportunities here in Mpumalanga and make our own mark in the fashion industry.”
