Man brutally murdered in Klarinet

Six unknown men robbed and killed a spaza shop owner.

In a turn of unfortunate events, a 23-year-old man was murdered during a house robbery in Klarinet.

According to Witbank police, six unknown men broke into a home in Bird Street and demanded to see the spaza shop owner on Saturday, December 21 at 21:00.

It is believed that when the owner heard the suspects were looking for him, he jumped to lock the door to his bedroom.

When one of the men noticed, he fired shots at the door and subsequently shot the shop owner.

According to Witbank police, the men allegedly robbed five other occupants who were inside the house of their belongings before they fled the scene.
