Both victims of Mandela Road accident still in ICU

Mahlomola Motaung is in Life Cosmos Hospital and Judy Scheepers in Witbank Hospital.

The man injured in the Mandela Road crash wherein Judy Scheepers sustained serious injuries is still in ICU.

Mahlomola Motaung sustained severe injuries to his eyes, mouth, chest, and legs and is recovering in Life Cosmos Hospital.

He was in theatre this afternoon.

Motaung’s family asked for prayers during this difficult time: “Mahlomola is facing a long road to recovery. We are reaching out to ask for your prayers.”

Motaung was on his way to buy water from Pick n Pay when, on January 2, he was involved in the crash at the traffic lights at River Crescent Shopping Centre.

The badly damaged BMW he was driving told how his life changed instantly.

Just a few meters away, paramedics were fighting for Scheepers’ life. She was a passenger in the towing vehicle with Jaco Greyling who was on his way to an accident near Witbank Dam.

Greyling sustained minor injuries.

Earlier tonight towing services from eMalahleni and Middelburg held a prayer gathering for Scheepers.
