Lace-up and challenge yourself, the TracN4 Elands Marathon returns on March 1.

The wait is over, the TRACN4 Elands Marathon, one of South Africa’s most picturesque and prestigious road races, is back for its latest edition.

The marathon will take place on Saturday, March 1, presented by the Nedbank LVCC Running Club and proudly sponsored by Trans African Concessions (TRAC). This iconic event promises to be an unforgettable experience for runners, spectators, and the local community.

The TRACN4 Elands Marathon offers runners a unique opportunity to qualify for two of South Africa’s most iconic ultramarathons: the Comrades Marathon and the Two Oceans Marathon. The 42.2km road race takes participants on a breathtaking journey through the Elands Valley, featuring stunning scenery, challenging hills, and a historic tunnel.

In addition to the full marathon, the TRACN4 Elands Marathon also features a half-marathon (21.1km) and a 10km race, catering to runners of all levels and abilities. Whether you are an elite athlete or a running enthusiast, this event promises to be an exhilarating experience. Online registrations are open until February 16, and participants can collect their race numbers at the expo or LVCC in Mbombela.

Mandla Nxumalo, from the Nedbank LVCC Running Club, shares his excitement: “We are thrilled to once again host this exceptional race with TRAC’s support. Preparations are already underway to ensure the 2025 event exceeds all expectations. We encourage out-of-town participants to secure their
accommodation early, as spots are filling quickly – a testament to the economic benefits this event brings to local businesses and communities.”
