Visible policing makes all the difference

Blancheville Neighbourhood Watch meets every first Thursday of the month at the NG Kerk Panorama at 18:00.

Blancheville Neighbourhood Watch was happy to report that crime is getting an uppercut in the area.

“Since the mass patrols were initiated, we have seen a decrease in criminal activities in the area,” said Tertius de Lange, chairman of the neighbourhood watch.

The neighbourhood watch had their monthly meeting on March 6 and the non-functional streetlights and pothole problem was raised.

The youths gathering at tuckshops are also a growing problem in the area.

The concerns were given through to the ward committee.

Sergeant Lauraine Mahlakoana, the sector manager for sector two said she appreciates the neighbourhood watch members who participate in the mass patrols.
