Betrayal and bloodshed in an attempted murder case

Police are looking for more information after jealousy allegedly fuels Thubelihle shooting.

A suspected love triangle is the reason behind a shooting that unfolded in Thubelihle earlier this month.

Constable Angel Makubu, Kriel Police spokesperson, said the shooting happened on March 15 just after 21:00.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a man crouched down in a chair. He was shot four times.

The victim told police a man entered his room and asked about a suspected relationship between him and the shooter’s wife.

Before he could answer, the shooter opened fire and shot him in the chest and leg.
The shooter fled the scene, and the victim was rushed to hospital.

Police found two cartridges on the scene.

No one has been arrested, and police asked for any information that will lead to the arrest of the shooter.

“All information will be dealt with confidentially,” Makubu said.

Anyone with information can contact Kriel SAPS branch commander Capt Charlie Ndaba on 082 579 0460.
