Rolling toward hope: Help Thinus stay in motion

Thinus needs a new wheelchair and hopes he can raise enough funds to buy one soon.

People like Thinus Louw serve as a reminder of the remarkable resilience of the human spirit in a society that is frequently characterised by difficulties.

Thinus, who is only 36 years old, has experienced hardships that most people would consider unbearable.

He was in a severe motor vehicle accident 11 years ago that left him quadriplegic, but he refused to allow his situation to define him.

The tale of Thinus is one of courage, determination, and motivation.

He still drives his car, carefully crafts items on his steel lathe, and even participates in carbon fibre production despite his physical restrictions.

Thinus is a living example of overcoming adversity and discovering meaning in each day.

However, a new obstacle has appeared on Thinus’s path.

One of his most important tools for freedom, his wheelchair, is damaged and in dire need of repair. Without it, he has a much harder time remaining independent and living with dignity.

By donating to the BackaBuddy project (Wheels for Thinus), you can make a difference and bring him one step closer to regaining the mobility and freedom that so many of us take for granted.
