Multiple accidents due to thick mist on notorious N12 s-bends

Multiple collisions on N12 as thick mist reduces visibility

This morning, thick mist led to multiple accidents on the N12 highway between Emalahleni and Ogies, causing significant disruptions for motorists.

This incident has been the second accident for the winter, both due to the same cause – mist.

Warnings about the dangerous driving conditions were shared on platforms like Zello and Facebook, cautioning motorists about the poor visibility in and around eMalahleni.

Despite these alerts, several collisions occurred, prompting emergency personnel to redirect traffic and assist those involved.

At this stage, the exact number of vehicles involved and the severity of injuries remain unclear.

Officials continue to assess the situation, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

The first accident occurred on April 11 – multiple vehicles were involved.
