A brutal act of violence has left an unidentified man dead in the Kromdraai area, leading to an urgent appeal from SAPS for public assistance.

The victim, believed to have been severely beaten before his body was abandoned, was discovered yesterday, July 9, in the afternoon.

According to the police, they received a tip off of a body in the bushes, and upon arrival at the scene, they found the deceased man with visible injuries.

They called an ambulance and the man was declared dead at the scene.

Captain Vusi Mnisi, from the Vosman Police Station is leading the murder inquiry and is urging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward.

This includes anyone who may have a missing loved one or anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area.

Furthermore, the Klipfontein Forensic Pathology Department is appealing for assistance in identifying the victim.
