Gang raids Klipfontein church and kidnap congregants
Two men were arrested, and the remaining ones are still at large following the robbery at a church in eMalahleni.

A church was the target yesterday when a gang of alleged armed robbers overpowered the pastor and congregants.
According to the police, more than five armed men busted into the church in Klipfontein during a service.
Nine congregants were allegedly held hostage before being robbed and kidnapped.
The victims were allegedly tied with cable ties, searched, and robbed of phones, wallets, laptops, and a computer screen belonging to the church.
Police further mentioned that the gang demanded car keys and phone PINs, then forced their victims into their three vehicles, a Mercedes-Benz, VW Polo, and an Isuzu KB Bakkie.
The men allegedly drove the victims to a bushy area, where two perpetrators remained behind to guard them while the others fled, only to return later to collect their accomplices.
The three vehicles were recovered later on the day in different areas.
The Mercedes-Benz was found in Vosman, where a 21-year-old man was arrested.
The VW Polo was found abandoned nearby, and the Isuzu KB Bakkie was recovered in Silverton, Gauteng, with a 27-year-old man who was also taken into custody.
“All nine victims were found, and one sustained minor injuries and was treated by medical personnel,” said Captain Eddie Hall, police spokesperson.
With two suspects in custody and all vehicles recovered, the police remain steadfast in their pursuit of the remaining individuals.
The two suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
