Clr Mathebula donates building materials to Kamgewane church

“During our church visit last year we saw a need to donate building material because of the state of the church,” said Mathebula.

Ward 17 Councillor, Sizwe Mathebula and a local company recently blessed a church in Kamgewane, with building materials to transform their church.

Faith Apostolic Church, a church located in Kamgewane’s Ward 17, has long struggled with structural challenges.

According to Mathebula, the initiative was born out of a previous visit to the church last year, where he witnessed the concerning condition of the building.

“We then committed that we would ask for donations from Good Samaritans to assist the church. Indeed, Vuka Vusi Trading committed to assist,” said Mathebula.

The donation was warmly received by the church congregation, who expressed their gratitude with songs and prayers. Mathebula described the moment as one of “Godly grace,” highlighting the spiritual significance of the gesture.

The contribution was praised by both the councillor and church members as an example of corporate social responsibility in action.
