Missing teen found in Middelburg

The teen who had everyone searching throughout the night has been found unharmed.

Kaitlin Coetzer was found safe in Middelburg this morning following an intensive overnight search that began after she reportedly ran away from her parents’ car in eMalahleni yesterday.

A local tow-in driver from Middelburg, Louwtjie Swart of Louw’s Tow-in, immediately recognised the missing teen.

“I approached her and told her the whole world was searching for her. She started screaming at me,” Swart said.

“That caught me off guard. I was told she is at the police station now.”

Kaitlin’s aunt, Claudine Klingenberg, has shared that Kaitlin allegedly has mental health issues and has not been taking her medication, which may affect her responsiveness and behaviour.
