A homeowner in Empumelelweni woke up to noise just to be met by robbers in his garage.

Vosman Police are investigating a case of house robbery after a house in Empumelelweni fell victim to robbery just minutes before dawn when the owner woke up to noise from his garage.

The man told the police that he heard a big noise coming from his garage, and when he went to check what was happening, he was met by a man who pointed a firearm at him. The man demanded money from him, and he told him that he didn’t have money.

The man further told the police that the robber then hit him with a firearm, threatening to kill him, and that’s where he disclosed that he had money in his car. The alleged robber who covered the man’s face was joined by other gang members and they searched his car.

The gang allegedly made off with cash, a mixer, and a computer.

According to the Vosman SAPS spokesperson, Captain Vusi Mnisi, no arrests have been made yet, and a police investigation is underway.
