Golfers sink putts and pour cash into New Life Children’s Home

A local company raised R24 000 for the children’s home through the generous contributions of its supplier network.

A good day of golf ended on a positive note and a good spirit that saw New Life Children’s Home receive a major financial boost.

The annual event, hosted on October 24, brought together valued customers and suppliers in a relaxed setting that enabled them to unwind and network over a round of golf.

Not only did they play golf, but the company also carried on its culture of selecting a local charity to support through the golf day, ensuring that their collective success also uplifts those in need.

“While it’s a celebration of partnership, it’s also an opportunity to give back, and this year, we were proud to support New Life Children’s Home in eMalahleni,” said Vishnoo Moodley, operations manager for the company.

The company raised R24 000 for the children’s home catering for 36 children ranging from three months to 18 years of age, through the generous contributions of its supplier network.

New Life Children’s Home stood out for their transparency, dedication, and the real difference they make in the lives of vulnerable children,” Vishnoo said.

He further explained that after meeting with Tammy de Oliveira, the centre manager, and learning more about the home’s work, they were deeply moved by her passion and commitment of the rest of her team.

“We support and honour the work they do for the community, it’s truly remarkable,” he said.

Tammy expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the generous donation.

“Running a children’s home is very expensive; that is why we are so grateful for the boost, because it will make a big difference. Every little bit helps,” said Tammy.
