Vuma honours top students in prize-giving ceremony

The event featured 85 learners who were awarded certificates and trophies in recognition of their hard work and dedication.

Vuma Primary School recently hosted a prize-giving ceremony to celebrate learners’ success and honour their achievements.

Held on November 7, the event recognised the top achievers from grades one to seven, and unlike previous events, this year they also awarded the top three learners for each subject, as well as the overall best learner in the phase.

A total of 85 learners received awards, with the top 10 in each grade receiving recognition for their hard work and dedication.

“It was such a proud and fulfilling moment to witness so many of our learners receiving awards for their outstanding performances in various subjects,” said Lindiwe Skhosana, chairperson of the School Governing Body (SGB).

The event celebrated the learners’ academic excellence, awarding top achievers with certificates and trophies for their outstanding performances in various subjects and various activities within the school.

“We are really proud of all our learners, because it wasn’t just about the top performers, but also the effort and commitment the learners have shown throughout the year,” Lindiwe said, adding that the event was a huge success.

The school principal, Mrs Xolile Mtshali, commended everyone who contributed to the success of the event.

“We really appreciate all our sponsors for their incredible contributions, not forgetting the parents, SGB, and the teachers for their continued efforts in imparting our learners with knowledge,” Mrs Mtshali said.
