eMalahleni communities take charge of their health at clinic open days

The Sinqobile Clinic’s open day in Vosman encouraged residents to prioritise their health through screenings, education, and cancer awareness.

Residents of Kriel and Vosman are taking their health into their own hands.

Community members flocked to Kriel Clinic and Sinqobile Clinic last week for open days packed with vital information, screenings, and awareness campaigns.

On November 6, Kriel Clinic welcomed the community at Cosmos Children’s Home open ground, sharing how to access healthcare services, the clinic referral system, and the importance of routine check-ups.

Department of Health officials also promoted the Cheka Impilo campaign, urging everyone to know their health status and take proactive steps to stay healthy.

Earlier, on November 3, Sinqobile Clinic combined its open day with Cancer Awareness Day at Sinqobile Community Hall in Vosman.

Residents dressed in pink-themed attire learnt about health screenings, primary healthcare, mental health, substance abuse, and cancer prevention.

Officials emphasised that regular check-ups are a lifelong commitment, not a once-off event.
