Young achievers shine at RCS foundation phase awards

RCS Foundation Phase learners show off their brilliance in academics, sports, and culture.

Robert Carruthers School recently held its Foundation Phase prize-giving, recognising outstanding learners for their achievements in academics, sports, and cultural activities.

In academics, the following learners were honoured for achieving the highest marks in their respective grades:

  • Temperance Omoariagbon – highest academic achievement, Grade 1
  • Boiketlo Makofane – highest academic achievement, Grade 2
  • Triumph Omoariagbon – highest academic achievement, Grade 3
Modishi Mphogo and Tracy Mnisi.
Modishi Mphogo – best cricket player, best hockey player, best soccer player, and named junior sportsman of the year – and Tracy Mnisi – best junior athlete, best netball player, best junior tennis player, and named junior sportswoman of the year.
Temperance Omoariagbon – highest academic achievement, Grade 1.
Temperance Omoariagbon – highest academic achievement, Grade 1.

In sports, awards were presented to:

  • Tawanda Msibi – best junior cross country athlete
  • Viola Vere – best junior girl swimmer
  • Ethan Sibanyoni – best junior rugby player
  • Imano Sibawu – best junior hockey player
Boiketlo Makofane – highest academic achievement, Grade 2.
Boiketlo Makofane – highest academic achievement, Grade 2.
Triumph Omoariagbon – highest academic achievement, Grade 3.
Triumph Omoariagbon – highest academic achievement, Grade 3.

Outstanding multi-sport achievers were:

  • Modishi Mphogo – best cricket player, best hockey player, best soccer player, and named junior sportsman of the year
  • Tracy Mnisi – best junior athlete, best netball player, best junior tennis player, and named junior sportswoman of the year

In culture, Cydlè Lambert received the cultural award for achievements in arts and cultural activities.
