Witbank Dam is experiencing a significant rise in water level due to the ongoing rain.

According to reports, the dam is currently at 97.6% capacity, and one sluice gate was opened this morning to manage the water levels.

The dam’s water level has been rising steadily due to the ongoing rain and the plan to open a sluice gate has been implemented to prevent overflow.

Residents are warned to stay clear of low-lying bridges and streams.
