Golden Stream Zone awards Development League winners

All participating teams were recognised and rewarded for their hard work and commitment shown throughout the season.

All participating teams were duly recognised during the Development League awards ceremony. — Emalahleni TMM U11 collecting a trophy after winning the Golden Stream A league.

The Golden Stream Zone, under the Emalahleni Local Football Association, recently hosted an awards ceremony to honour the Development League winners.

Held on November 29 at Reyno Park, the event featured playoffs, which took place earlier in the day between the two streams, Golden Stream A and Golden Stream B, to determine the teams that will represent the zone in the upcoming Emalahleni Champ of Champs.

On the U11s, Emalahleni TMM defeated Mission FC 1–0, Sports Wrap won on penalties against Klarinet Dortmund, Emalahleni TMM won on penalties against Klarinet Dortmund, while Mpumalanga Black Aces beat Mission FC 6–1.

The development best performers, including the best goalkeepers and top goal-scorers, were awarded trophies, as well as the league winners from both streams received awards.

For the U11s, Emalahleni TMM from Golden Stream A and the Mission FC from Golden Stream B took the awards.

For the U13s, the cups were lifted by the Sports Wrap from the Golden Stream A and the Klarinet Dortmund from Golden Stream B.

On the U15s, Emalahleni TMM from Golden Stream A and Klarinet Dortmund from Golden Stream B won, while Mpumalanga Black Aces from Golden Stream A and Mission FC from Golden Stream B lifted the trophy in the U17s.

“The event was a great success, and all participating teams were duly recognised and rewarded for their hard work and commitment throughout the season,” said Simangaliso Nkosi, the Emalahleni Local Football Golden Stream Zone secretary.
