Braai, bikes, and fun at Happy Day Centre’s Christmas party

Different activities that started with a motorbike experience formed part of the exciting party.

It was all excitement, games, and braai at the Happy Day Pre-School and Aftercare Centre as they hosted a Christmas party for the kids to enjoy.

Held on December 6 at the centre’s premises in Reyno Ridge, the annual event was aimed at bringing festive cheer to the kids and making the holiday season special even for those who might not have the opportunity to celebrate at home.

“Some of the kids are not so privileged that they always have a Christmas party at their homes,” said Magda van den Berg, principal at the centre.

The day started off with bikers who took the kids for some rides and gave them an experience of motorbikes, followed by some good music for the kids to flaunt their cool moves. The kids’ fun part was the endless games and limitless time to play and enjoy themselves, sealing it with a braai, where they enjoyed some good mood food as they continued to play around.

“We just wanted to celebrate the kids and give them a nice Christmas party to end the year. They’ve been coming here the whole year, so we chose this day for them to just relax and have fun,” said Florence Yisa, the owner and director of the centre.

Various stakeholders also supported the event, and the leaders of the centre appreciated everyone who contributed to the success of the day.

“We are really grateful to our teachers for the continued effort shown, down to everyone for all the donations they keep supporting us with whenever we host events,” said Magda, adding that they shall continue doing their best to impart the kids with knowledge and care for their well-being.
“Our doors are always open for every child to join us,” Magda concluded.
