Another Toyota Hilux GD6 was targeted at gunpoint, and police seek assistance in locating it.

The Toyota Hilux GD6 hijacking trend is back in the Vosman policing area.Vosman police are investigating a case of carjacking after a motorist was targeted in a hijacking at gunpoint.

According to the police, a man was parking his white Toyota Hilux GD6 bakkie on December 10 around 19:00 when he was approached by three men who held him at gunpoint and robbed him of his cellphone, laptop, boots, and made off with his bakkie.

The man was left on the ground. However, no shots were fired, and no arrest has been made currently.

The SAPS further shared tips for motorists to protect their vehicles and themselves, stating that nobody can be assured that they’ll never be hijacked, but there are some sensible steps you can take to reduce your risk.

The steps included being vigilant at all times, varying your routes and routines, checking if you’re not being followed, be alert when parking, and being sensible.
