Two die in suspected poisoning in separate incidents – Vosman SAPS launches double inquests

According to reports, both deceased had no visible injuries, with one having foam coming out of her mouth and nose.

The Vosman police are investigating two inquests after two people died in incidents suspected to involve poisoning.

According to police reports, both deceased had no visible injuries, although one had foam coming out of her mouth and nose. Both cases were reported on January 6.

First incident
In the first incident, an 18-year-old was certified dead at a local clinic in Kwa-Guqa Extensions.

According to police, they received a complaint at around 19:10 and rushed to the local clinic, where they were shown the lifeless body of the teenager. The teen was reportedly brought to the clinic by her mother and had foam coming out of her mouth and nose. She is suspected to have been poisoned.

An inquest was launched by Vosman SAPS, and police investigations are still underway.

Second incident
In the second incident, police received a complaint from a local hospital. Upon arrival, they were shown a body that was reportedly lifeless on arrival at the hospital.

According to police, it is suspected that the deceased was poisoned, as there were no visible injuries on the body. An inquest was launched, and investigations are ongoing.
